What Is The Weigh Station?
The Weigh Station in Roanoke, VA, is dedicated to helping patients in their personal wellness journey. Their focus is on physician-led weight loss programs with the goal of teaching patients how to make healthier lifestyle choices through nutritional counseling and education. What Your First Visit May Look Like
Your first visit at The Weigh Station will take about an hour and a half to complete and includes a consultation where we will ask about your weight loss goals, learn about prior nutritional habits and any challenges that you may foresee. Following, the team will complete a physical exam that includes a body scan to determine your key metrics, an EKG, lab work and a complete medical review. They will also perform a dietary evaluation to assess what your food intake looks like to better determine your nutritional needs and potential deficiencies.
The goal with this dietary evaluation is to identify areas of improvement in your diet to help you lose weight and overall improve your health. The team recognizes that every person is unique and that is why they offer personalized programs tailored to your needs and preferences. After coming up with your plan, patients will have weekly follow up visits where the team will track your progress.
The Shot Bar
The Weigh Station offers an array of nutrient injection therapy, from lipotropic injection to B12 shots that may aid in your weight loss journey. They are intended to be used in conjunction with the wellness program and not as a stand-alone solution. These injections could potentially enhance metabolism, increase energy levels, improve mood, support detoxification pathways and liver function, as well as reduce cholesterol and balance glucose levels in the body.
